On July 19th, 1999 Shane Douglas, after a falling-out with ECW, ends months of speculation by appearing in WCW rather than the WWF.
He immediately forms The Revolution, with Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, and Perry Saturn as members. Douglas claims WCW has held these men down long enough and that his group is going to change the pecking order in the company.
